The boats participating in the Ocean Race will carry out a series of activities at sea prior to the start of the Round the World Race competition.
In-Port races:
First scoring race of the Round the World Race that the participating teams will race on Sunday, January 8th.
Schedule:
– 14h – Start of VO65
– 16h – Start of IMOCA
Pro-Am races:
Non-scoring regatta. There will be two sessions, morning and afternoon, on Thursday 12th and Friday 13th January.
Races organized together with the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante:
– Cruising boat races: Saturday, January 7th.
– Optimist Class: Saturday, January 14th from 13h30 to 16h45.
Test Start Procedure:
Boats participating in The Ocean Race will conduct a start practice on Tuesday 10 from 14:30 to 17:00.
Round the World Race
Sunday 15th is the start of the Round the World Race. Teams will depart from the Port of Alicante heading to Cabo Verde, kicking off an epic crossing that will cover a total of 9 cities.
