Alicante can be reached via the AP 7 motorway, which runs through the province from southwest to northeast, connecting to Valencia in the north and Murcia and Andalusia in the south. It can also be reached by the A-31 which links up with Madrid A-31. From Madrid, it connects the interior of Spain with the city of Alicante

Access to the airport is via the A-7 and N-332, with an average journey time from the centre of Alicante of 15 minutes, 30 minutes at peak times.
There is a taxi stand in front of the Arrivals gate.
The C6 Alicante-Airport bus line connects the El Altet Airport (ALC) terminal building with the centre of Alicante every 20 minutes, every day of the year, with a stop at the Renfe train station and other strategic points in Alicante.
